Yes its true, Chanel and Louis Vuitton flogged clogs on their runaways, so they’re well and truly the new shoe trend hitting the high street. The wood-soled chunky heels are leather and studded, and can be worn with socks or tights. And the look is more reminiscent of the 90′s chunky shoe trend than the hippie clogs worn in the ’70′s.

French style blogger Garance Dore called clogs “ugly” when they returned to the style radar, but has since become a convert.

Chain stores have taken cues from Marc Jacobs by teaming peeptoed, strappy and bootie-style clogs with tights and blazers. Australia’s Next Top Model mentor Josh Flinn said clogs were teamed with floral dresses, skinny-leg jeans and tights for a feminine take on the chunky look.
