The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest is the third book in the Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson. It picks up the same day the previous book, The Girl Who Played With Fire, leaves off, it therefore should be read only after The Girl Who Played With Fire, and ideally after the first book, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The fast-pace continues and the book draws together the stories and conspiracies set in motion over thirty years earlier. Overall this is a very good read, all three books are deserving of the time and money investment. It is hard to believe these are the only three novels by the author, the quality of the writing is excellent, it is a real tragedy Stieg Larsson did not live to see his work published and become a global success. Highly recommended.
